Welcome to Wispy Willows Nursery, a small backyard nursery nestled in the heart of Big Pine, California, in the beautiful Owens Valley. What started as a passion for growing our own food has blossomed into a nursery dedicated to sharing healthy, organically nurtured plants with our community.

We take pride in our curated collection of vegetable starts, herbs, flowers, and more — all grown from seed with care for robust growth and abundant harvests.

Seed to Sale

Every plant we sell starts as a seed right here in Big Pine. We grow everything ourselves — no middlemen, no shipped-in stock. We start seeds early in the season and raise the plants until the weather is ready for transplanting. When you order from us, you are getting a plant that was grown from day one for the Owens Valley climate.

Our Philosophy

We believe in working with nature, not against it. That means building healthy soil, encouraging beneficial insects, and growing plants that thrive in our high-desert climate. No synthetic pesticides, no chemical fertilizers — just good soil, good water, and a lot of care.
